Although Jan has always worked in an office environment, her passion from a much younger age has been the psychology of the human mind, but more importantly the bodies energy, and has helped people wherever possible with emotional problems and feelings. Eleven years ago she discovered EFT (tapping) and realised that was exactly what she should be doing. It enveloped all her knowledge and skills into an extremely simple procedure with amazing results. That was a turning point in her life and she knew immediately it was the path to take. Having retired from the office environment Jan is now doing the work she loves. As well as seeing private clients she works on a voluntary basis as a therapist at the local Cancer Support Group where the results and feedback following consultations with people living with cancer, as well as family members and carers, have been truly amazing. Alongside her therapy Jan continues with her study and ongoing training specialising in her work with people experiencing the trauma of cancer. In January 2011 Jan gave a presentation at the EFT Gathering in Ilkley where she was able to explain the wonders of EFT and how it has helped so many. During 2012 Jan introduced her work to The Isis Project - a health and social care charity for women aged 18 plus who are experiencing mental ill health/stress. The charity worked alongside the NHS and other agencies to promote recovery and independence. Jan ran a weekly EFT Group as well as working with women on a one to one basis and again she gave a presentation about her work at the 2014 EFT Gathering in York. Now into 2018 Jan continues her work with Cancer Support Yorkshire working with clients on a one to one basis as well as being the Wellbeing Group Facilitator running a very successful Carers' Group and Health & Wellbeing Groups.
